NOW-NJ's Lesbian Rights Task
Force met on February 27, 2005, and elected Bear Atwood as Task Force
Chair. A Task Force e-mail
address has been established. A Task Force e-mail list has
also been set up.
The Task Force voted to
support a NOW-NJ resolution, to be considered at the next State Board
meeting, making support for Transgender Anti-Discrimination Legislation a Task Force
priority. Click

Due to the wide scope of the
issues considered by this Task Force, the Task Force is considering
changing its name. One proposal is the Pride Task Force.
Suggestions encouraged.
The Task Force discussed how
to participate in New Jersey's Pride day, June 5. People were
generally in favor of having a float with a marriage theme and staffing a table along with
Shore Area NOW, GayPASG, and the state Division of Civil Rights. A
float-building party has tentatively been scheduled for May 28 at Bear's.
The next Task Force meeting
will be the last week of March.
