Deb Huber's testimony

My personal and biggest concern with this mandatory testing bill is the reliability of the test itself.  The HIV tests look for antibodies that react with proteins extracted from what is said to be HIV antibodies.  There are many studies in the scientific literature that show that there are five or six dozen conditions which cause a person to have antibodies which cross-react with these proteins.  These conditions include herpes, flu, auto-immune disease, recent immunization, and PREGNANCY.  The package insert for the Epitope Inc Western Blot test says “Do not use this kit as the sole basis of diagnosis of HIV-1 infection.”  Yet the Western Blot test is being used as the gold standard for diagnosing AIDS.  People are given extremely toxic drugs on the basis of this test.

This is unscientific medicine.
