Hi Cosponsors-

The March is only a few days away and I have a few updates for you from the March Office.  First, see the announcement below about the call for volunteers.

Volunteers will be needed for the entire weekend, April 23-26.  If you are in the DC area during that time, you can play a critical role in the success of our events.  Volunteer jobs include:

Set up of the rally site and setup, breakdown and staffing of events on Friday and Saturday Hospitality on the 25th:

ü      Parade marshalling

ü      Greeting the buses from out of town

ü      Providing help and directions to participants

ü      Maintaining a clean and organized rally site

ü      Staffing of volunteer and Lost & Found desks

ü      Assisting those who are physically challenged

ü      Signing in the crowd

No experience is necessary.  We will provide training and support.

Volunteer briefings will be held on Saturday, April 24th at the DC Armory.  Please plan to attend one of the following sessions: 10:00 a.m., noon, 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.  While at the Armory, you will be briefed on available volunteer opportunities and asked to identify the job and shift that works best for you.  Volunteer trainers will then provide you with details about your role.  If you are unable to attend the volunteer briefings on Saturday, please report to the volunteer tent on the day of the March. The tent will be located on the National Mall between 4th and 7th Streets, N.W., directly in front of the National Gallery of Art.

If you or anyone you know is willing and able to help, please contact Linda Lawson at llawson@marchforwomen.org or call (202) 349-3843.  Thank you for caring enough to be a part of this historic event.
