Hello:
We
hope you can join us for pizza and the most up-to-date information on
the March for Women’s Lives, which will be held in Washington, D.C. on
Sunday, April 25. This event is expected to be the largest
reproductive
health rights march in U.S. history. With a Supreme Court that’s
one vote away from reversing Roe v. Wade (guarantee of safe, legal
abortion) the stakes have never been higher.
The
briefing will be held on Saturday,
March 13, 2004 at The Richard Stockton College of NJ, Room G-208
(upstairs in G wing; buildings are alphabetical) at 11am.
Directions follow.
Here’s
who will be coming:
·
People
from NJ who registered as potential volunteers at the March for Women’s
Lives website (www.MarchforWomen.org).
·
Women’s
Studies faculty from NJ colleges and universities
·
Directors
and staff from NJ Women’s Resource Centers
·
NJ
community groups that are organizing buses for the March
This event
will be a way for those of you who are selling bus tickets to connect
with individuals and groups who want to buy them. Besides
purchasing/selling bus tickets, you will also be able to pick up flyers,
posters and information to take back to your organization or to hang up
in your community. We’ll also discuss volunteer opportunities
(before the March or the day of) and have buttons and t-shirts available
for sale.
So
that we can order the correct amount of food, please let us know as soon
as possible if you can attend (see contact info above). Please
extend this invitation to anyone you know who would also like to be
there.
If
you can’t attend the briefing but would like March information or
materials, please give us a call.
We
hope to see you on the 13th.
Very
sincerely,
Judy
