March for Women’s Lives
Delegations Update

Great News! With less than three weeks until the big day, the March for
Women’s Lives has already surpassed its original goal of 1,000
co-sponsoring organizations. The co-sponsor count is currently at 1,263
and growing each day. Thanks to all the organizations that have lent their
names, financial resources, and person-power to get out the word that
April 25, 2004 will be a historic day for women everywhere!
With one goal behind us, our greatest challenge lies ahead. We must now
focus on reaching our goal of making this the largest demonstration for
reproductive rights on record. Delegations nationwide are going the extra
mile and extending outside their circles to double—even triple—their
numbers. As you continue to expand your delegations consider this…if each
delegation recruits just one additional member tomorrow, in only 24 hours
we will have added more than 1200 marchers on the National Mall.
Bus Parking and Registration!
If your group is coordinating buses, it is crucial that you register your
buses online at
www.marchforwomen.org/users/busreg.php . Unlike the delegation form you
completed, this new web form will break out specific information about
your bus schedules and itineraries and will allow the March to contact
your caravan en-route in case of emergency. You will need to fill out a
separate web form for each bus unless you have several busses leaving from
the same departure point with identical schedules.
The deadline for bus registration is Monday, April 19.
Important Delegations Reminder
Official delegations will consist of 20 or more marchers from a single
group—groups with less than 20 will not be reserved their own designated
space on the National Mall. If you are currently less than 20, there is
still time! We encourage you to continue your recruitment efforts and
update your delegation forms appropriately. Delegations do not have to
travel together to meet up at their designated places on the Mall. There
are single delegations with members meeting each other from as far away as
Maine and California!
If you have signed up to be an official delegation and know that it will
not be possible to recruit at least 20 marchers, please contact March
staff at 202-349-3838. We can help you join up with others from your
state, or other groups of common interest.
The deadline to have your delegations numbers updated is Friday, April 16.

Special March for Women Amtrak Discounts Available!
Groups of 20 or more marchers booking together can take advantage of
Amtrak’s standard 20% off group discount rate. For group rate information
please visit the Amtrak website at

The March for Women’s Lives has also negotiated a special discount for ALL
March participants. For individuals and groups with less than 20, Amtrak
now offers 10% off the lowest available fare to Washington, DC between
April 22nd and April 28th, 2004. To book your reservation call Amtrak at
(800) 872-7245 or contact your local travel agent. Be sure to refer to
Convention Fare Code X89C-917 when making your reservation. This offer is
not valid on Auto Train. Fare is valid on Metroliner and Acela service for
all departures on weekends only. Offer valid with Sleepers, Business Class
or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation
charges.
Assembly on the National Mall – Morning Rally!
The morning rally will begin promptly at 10:00 am on the National Mall
between 3rd and 14th Streets. Both the morning and afternoon rallies will
feature special guest speakers and entertainment. Please be sure you
arrive on time to enjoy the kick off! Hundreds of clearly identifiable
volunteers will line the perimeter of the Mall to direct delegations to
their designated spots. March step off will begin at noon.
