Making History Award
Deborah Walsh As the director of
the Center for American Women in Politics, Deborah Walsh has served as a
tireless advocate for increasing the political participation of women in
the electoral process. Organizing over a dozen national
conferences and conferences and leading the Center's extensive work on
women officeholders, she is a sought-after speaker for a wide range of
audiences and media.
Hon. Bonnie Watson Coleman As a
member of the New Jersey General Assembly and as the New Jersey State
Democratic Committee Chair, Assemblywoman Watson Coleman has been a
legislative advocate for civil right, children, and disadvantaged
Americans. She is known as one of the New Jersey Legislature's
most outspoken and fair members.
Hon. Loretta Weinberg As the
Majority Conference Leader of the New Jersey State Assembly, this
outspoken legislator for women and their families has spearheaded bills
to counter domestic violence, improve healthcare, pass smart gun
legislation, and set racial and gender balance in state
appointments. Her legislative focus is famous for protecting women
and their families

Elizabeth Volz
In her time as NOW-NJ president, Elizabeth organized a march on Trenton,
chaired the Choice New Jersey Coalition, oversaw the largest campus
contingent to the March for Women's Lives, and spearheaded several
successful efforts to derail proposed restrictions on a woman's right to
choose. Elizabeth is known for her stellar speaking skills, innate
fairness, and unending dedication to NOW-NJ.
