Hello!
How are you? My name is Kathryn Ramuno from the Gender Public Advocacy Coalition (GenderPAC) in Washington, D.C.
Please read the email I have attached below, announcing our National Conference on Gender this May.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you!
5th National Conference on Gender and 10th National Gender Lobby Day
The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition (GenderPAC) will host the 5th National Conference on Gender and 10th National Gender Lobby Day May 20-22, 2005 at the Doubletree Hotel Crystal City in Washington, DC.
The conference is a three-day gathering of parents, youth, activists and academics focused on gender politics, strategy, and policy and encourages an understanding of the connections between gender and race, class, sexual orientation, and disability.
Keynote addresses will be provided by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick, a pioneer in the field of queer theory; Carol Evans, CEO and President of Working Mother magazine; and Anne Fausto-Sterling, Professor of Biology and Gender Studies.
The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition (GenderPAC) works to end discrimination and violence caused by gender stereotypes.
The organization's goals of safer environments for children, safer schools for youth, safer communities, and fairer workplaces are met through programs in Public Education, the GenderYOUTH Network, the Workplace Fairness project, and a new network of parents and practitioners to be launched at this year’s conference,
Children As They Are.
