Sample
of Letter to Legislators:
Dear
________________,
No worker
should have to choose between caring for a loved one and paying
their bills!
This is
why I support S786/A2080, currently before our state
legislature; when enacted this will create a 100% worker-funded
Family Leave Insurance program. Family Leave Insurance is
an affordable and necessary program that should provide ALL
workers in NJ with the ability to receive partial wage
replacement to care for a seriously-ill family member or to bond
with a newborn or newly adopted child.
I urge you
to show your support New Jersey's working families, seniors,
children and caregivers by co-sponsoring Family Leave Insurance
Legislation (S786/A2080) and by opposing any attempt to exempt
small business employees from this long overdue program.
Sincerely,
