"A good woman Democrat running against a corrupt Republican party"
--
Myra Nathan, member of Middlesex County NOW-NJ
MARSH FOR MAYOR campaign
stands to win endorsement by Democracy for America.
Dear Friends,
Just in case you don't already know, I am running for Mayor of Hoboken as part of a ticket called Team Hoboken.
Things are going very well, and today I have great news: We have been nominated for inclusion in the DFA Dozen
(formerly, Dean Dozen.) If we are selected, our campaign will gain access
to a national base of financial support and the strength of a vast grassroots
organization that can help direct massive volunteer support our way.
If you already know enough about us (and the Dozen) to let Democracy for America know who we are and what we are up against, then please click on
this link and write a brief note stating who you are and why you find this
campaign worthy of support. Our chances of winning this endorsement depends
entirely on the volume of individual recommendations logged at the DFA site.

If you can take a few seconds to click over and add to our count, and then
pass the link along to 10 friends asking them to do the same, you would be
helping plug this campaign into a network that is far stronger than the machine we're up against.
If you would share this information with anyone who knows our campaign, and us, or who follows New Jersey politics, I'd be
grateful.
Election Day is May 10th. In the next seven weeks we face fierce competition
from the political machine. My platform and purpose is simple:
open government; a fiscally responsible city hall; adherence to a sensible
master plan that limits development, provides for open spaces, and resolves local
parking concerns; and most important of all, an administration that keeps
its word.
The local chapter of Democracy for America has endorsed the "Marsh for Mayor
Team Hoboken" campaign. I am honored to be chosen by DFA for their support,
and I'm very interested in pursuing their national endorsement.
Our opponents have the big money; we have the volunteers and ideas. But now
we have been given a terrific opportunity to level the playing field, and
we need YOUR help!
DFA will take into consideration the "voice of the people" -- endorsements from a large number of individuals will give us the best chance of success.
The deadline for consideration is just a few weeks away. If at all possible,
please follow up with a personal reminder.
Endorsements should include a brief note stating who you are and why you find this campaign worthy of support.
Don't let an out of state address stop you, but when reaching out to friends, please note that endorsements from
within New Jersey carry particular weight.
Let's show the world that, once again, my mom was right: She said a group of
citizens could indeed change the world, one neighborhood at a time.
